Marlies Dekkers - Thankyou Coco de Mer.
I recently discovered Marlies Dekkers when i went all over London trying to find creations from Obey My Demand. I found this amazing little boutique called Coco de Mer. The woman was extrememly helpful and told me about Marlies Dekkers and although at first i was dubious, i fell in love. The idea seems so simple. The Undressed collection seems so simple but i love it. It mainly features bras that have almost strings at the top of the breasts, as shown above. These are visible in most clothes, as long as they aren't high-necked. To be honest, if you had one of these creations why would you hide it? I like how its part of the garment, such magnificent lingerie shouldn't be hidden away.

Chantal Thomass
I recently discovered Chantal Thomass on my hunt for inspirational lingerie designers and fell in love with Chantal Thomass' classic French style. It is flirtatious, fun and sexy. Whenever she does a collection, they all follow the same theme, obviously; however, i love how when her designs are photographed they fit within these themes perfectly. Also, i love how she can create such differently styled collections with such small garments! She's so fun and quirky and just from seeing Chantal Thomass you can tell what an artistic and fun person she is. I am also impressed that some of her bras go up to a size E! Which is a giant thumbs up from me.
Love at First Sight.
The last present left in my bag of goodies on Christmas day by far made my day. After i ripped off the wrapping paper and saw the blue signature box, i gasped. My mother knows i love Westwood, and these gorgeous shoes were a complete and utter surprise, a rather amazing surprise at that. I already have some flats, in black with peep toes and colourful plastic bows fixed to the front, but boots were perfect to add to my small collection - which i can now call it, two pair's counts!
The boots can be worn as wellies, as the plastic exterior is waterproof and and easily wipeable, however, there is no way i will be walking through muddy puddles in these beauties.
The best part? The smell of bubble gum follows me where ever i go.
Dita Von Teese - Vivienne Westwood.
I find this photo quite misleading, i thought it was a photo that i had never seen before, however, it is the shiny purple dress that mainly relates Dita Von Teese to Vivienne Westwood in any google image search. I must say, it looks far more appealing in the almost navy it appears to be in this image.
What i love about it is Westwoods classic corset incorporated into this highly elegant and flattering wedding dress, completely suited to Miss Von Teese. The bodice accentuates her extremely thin waist and her curvaceous frame. I also love the neck line, making her breast look amazing. The rest of the fabric then billows out, creating such a beautiful silhouette. There is so much material involved in the skirt that her tiny waist is almost lost amongst it.

Agatha Blois
Agatha Blois is one of my favourite designers right now, not just because of her celebrity clientele including Kat Von D, but because of her leather. She is an extremely talented designer working in the rock and tattoo scene. I love her variation, how she creates leather jackets with back pieces, leather waistcoats, catsuits, trousers etc. Also, she includes denim into some designs. What i love is how she can create such interesting and varied designs, also her attention to detail.
Agatha Blois - Carnival Wax.
"Ol' Rudy drove the carriage ... the smell of greasepaint, wild beasts, sugary treats, western saddles, and burning gypsy witch candles, old damp canvas, through Spanish moss and Southern groves of orange and peach, on dirt, on asphalt, on an African priestess in Brooklyn in 1965, her black leather panties in his liquored hand … If I could only bottle these bright beauties and blinding evils." - Blackie Pagano.
"This collection evokes the hot thrills, sugary tastes, and dangerous excitement of a carnival that exists simultaneously in the past, present, and future, traveling through a mythic America as seen through the miraculously unjaded eyes of Agatha's alter-ego, immortal ringmaster and secret alchemist Ol' Rudy. Ol' Rudy binds his secrets into this collection to portray his inner beauty and evil and bring them to you through the direct and irresistible avenue of scent. Notes of sugar, dirt, vanilla, tobacco, sweet musk, rusted metal and leather attract excitement, love, danger, and romance to the wearer."
I love the poem by Blackie Pegano describing the scent by agatha Blois, it really shows where she draws her inspirations from - it is not an average perfume. Dirt and tobacco aren't normal choices for perfumes but i really love that Agatha Blois is daring enough to try.

Leeds Royal Armouries
Before I went to the Royal Armories, I was skeptical; however, I quite enjoyed the day. What appealed to me the most was the offensive kind of protection, a.k.a weaponry. Firstly, I was truly shocked by the amount of seized weaponry that there was from 2006 in Yorkshire. Some of these weapons were truly terrifying especially the baseball bat. It was covered in Duct tape, with nails and screws in the top and then chains were attached. This object was obviously created for maximum damage and to think that this was being carried around on the streets almost makes me afraid. The 3 in 1 weapon, the gun with a knife and knuckle duster, is also quite scary but also impressive, it would be effective no matter how close the enemy, or victim, was. Another focus of mine was how ornate some of the weapons were, with carved handles and pear inlays. Also, the mosaic gun handles and decorative blades. The final thing that drew my attention was, inevitably, war. The shocking images of men in the war quite upset me, to think of how many horrific experiences they encountered, and how these weapons will have saved their lives on many occasions. All-in-all, weaponry is produced for mainly 3 reasons: to show status and wealth, for protection and also, to inflict crime in an almost hobby like way.
